Geraldina Mendoza Laínez
She has participated in various arbitration proceedings as counsel, consultant, and secretary to the arbitration tribunal, in matters pertaining to mining, construction, taxes, the energy sector, and the supply of goods, among others, under ICSID, ICC, and AAA rules. Moreover, she has participated in dispute boards under FIDIC Contracts. She has represented clients in dispute resolution proceedings in various regions, including Europe, Africa, Asia, the United States, and Latin America. Furthermore, she has provided consultancy services to clients seeking to finance their litigation proceedings through third-party funds. She is a professor of Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Higher School of Economics and Business (ESEN).
She has served as corporate advisor to various national and international companies, having participated in large-scale mergers and acquisitions. She possesses significant experience in structuring syndicated bank facilities, loans, trusts, and lines of credit.
She was a consultant to the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic of El Salvador in matters pertaining to International Arbitration; and Foreign Associate to the Washington, DC offices of Arnold & Porter LLP in which she was part of the Corporate and International Arbitration group, having participated in various arbitrations, international litigation, bond issuances and the structuring of investment, as well as in cross-border transactions involving various Latin American countries.
