Estela Sáenz de Colorado
She is authorized by the Supreme Court of Justice to practice law and act as notary public. Early on in her career, she was engaged in the field of Intellectual Property in the Salvadoran banking sector. From 1996 to 2003, she worked in contract review, recovery of delinquent accounts for micro and medium-sized companies, and judicial litigation. For a period of five months, she was hired by the electric sector company DEL SUR as the person in charge of negotiating the payment of municipal fees by municipal mayoralties.
She currently provides consultancy services on a wide array of business matters related to various types of contracts and companies. Furthermore, she provides labor-related legal consultancy services. She has participated as counsel in several national arbitrations representing construction companies, industrial companies, financial institutions, government institutions and individuals, in matters related to the construction industry, banking, and provision of services contracts.
She has participated in institutional arbitrations in Guatemala. She is an arbitrator of the Mediation and Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of El Salvador, Arbitrator of CENAC of the Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce, and Arbitrator of the Arbitration Center of the Guatemalan Chamber of Industry CRECIG.
She was a professor of “Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods” at the Law School of the Universidad del Istmo of Guatemala.
